Facilities + Safety Director

Amuneal Manufacturing is seeking a Facilities and Safety Director to join our fast-paced, dedicated, and extremely talented team.

Facilities

  • • Manage and coordinate maintenance and facilities upgrade projects for our facilities in Northeast Philadelphia
  • • Manage team of facilities and machine maintenance employees
  • • Manage and coordinate machine repair and maintenance
  • • Maintain records for applicable industrial equipment (dust collectors, spray booths, heaters, evaporator, etc)

  • We are seeking creative, detail-oriented, quick-learning individuals with robust design and fabrication experience to become trained Amuneal experts. The right candidate will be comfortable facilitating complex and detailed design discussions with Interior Designers, Architects, Contractors and Amuneal’s Engineering and Fabrication teams. This addition to our team may identify as a designer, entrepreneur, architect, maker or creative salesperson, but in any case, must be willing to learn the in’s and outs of Amuneal’s design language, fabrication capabilities, and history in order to best represent the brand and develop bespoke made-to-order furniture and interior cabinetry installations.
    Candidates must have a passion for design and quality work, some sales experience, ideally in high-end custom furniture design, cabinetry or fabrication, and proficiency conveying designs through hand-sketching and software. Amuneal is growing our New York Showroom Sales + Design Team based in the New York Design Center at 200 Lex.

  • We are seeking experienced designers and creative salespeople with strong visualization skills and willingness to become Amuneal experts. In this role, you will be facilitating design discussions with Interior Designers, Architects, and Contractors creating an engaging customer experience and communicating Amuneal’s vast capabilities through inspiration imagery and learned technical knowledge. The right team member will be trained in the history of Amuneal, our design language, and fabrication capabilities to best represent the brand to our clients and develop one-of-a-kind, made-to-order custom installations come to life.
    Candidates must have a passion for design and quality work. Experience in high-end custom furniture design and fabrication, as well as proficiency conveying concepts through hand sketch or software is highly preferred. A background in custom design for Interiors, Furniture, Kitchens or Millwork is highly beneficial.

Amuneal is growing our New York Showroom Sales + Design Team based in the New York Design Center at 200 Lex.

  • We are seeking creative, detail-oriented, quick-learning, and enthusiastic individuals to Coordinate and facilitate client visits to our Amuneal Showroom. A passion for design, art, and interiors as well and an aptitude for visual language and customer service experience is required.
    In this role, you will represent the Amuneal brand, providing our clients with inspiration and expanding their knowledge of our current product offerings. You will support the on-going needs of our showroom by maintaining inventory to supplement visits, including but not limited to samples, marketing materials, relevant photography, A/V technology, and hospitality items like snacks, lunch, and flowers. You will be responsible for creating a well-rounded and wholly generous showroom experience for all visitors which includes preparing for and hosting client meetings, establishing action items, and working with our internal team to respond to deliverables with urgency. Often you will be the clients first point of contact with Amuneal or be facilitating an ongoing interaction between another member of the New York, Philadelphia or LA Based Sales + Design Team. You will be responsible for accurately logging, responding to and following up on inquiries generated from the Showroom and sometime via the web.   • Specialized company focusing on high-end, low quantity, bespoke metal and wood products for the architectural and design communities looking for a Industrial Designer to help translate designs into manufacturable packages.
    This role is responsible to work with our in-house teams to understand the needs of each project and to help inform the ideal fabrication approach. The details for each project are modeled using 3D parametric software to create complete manufacturing packages that can move directly to our fabrication teams.
    This role is a great fit for individuals that want to see their work translated into tangible objects and installations in real time.Ideal applicants will have:
    • • a minimum of 3-5 years in a firm where they have gained practical knowledge of wood and metal fabrication techniques
    • • Confidence in reading architectural plans and drawings

They will be expected to be able to produce finishes on products based on both written directions (finish codes on drawings) and verbal communication. Employees will be offered in-house training on our finishing processes to strengthen core skills and build knowledge and experience.

Minimum Requirements – basic considerations for applicants

  • • 2+ years of experience with patina finishes
  • • Basic knowledge of blueprints and reading drawings
  • • Detail oriented, able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • • Ability to differentiate different type of materials/metals: steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, etc.
  • • Familiar with operating pneumatic hand tools, power tools, and typical finishing equipment such as right-angle grinders, dynafiles, pistol grip sanders, orbital sanders, etc.

Candidates should have demonstrable experience with the programming and operation of lathes, milling machines, and machining centers, as well as supporting skills relevant to working in a custom shop environment. They will be responsible for the production of custom fixtures, components, and features in a fast-paced setting while adhering to Amuneal’s standards of quality and safety.

Minimum Requirements – basic considerations for applicants

  • • 5+ years of experience with Haas machinery & Mastercam
  • • Able to plan set-ups of mills & lathes with proper tooling, chucks, collets, etc.
  • • Able to verify settings by measuring positions, making first-run parts, and building sample workpieces
  • • Capable of completing preventive maintenance tasks, including: following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs

  • • Comfortable interfacing with the Engineering team to recommend design changes to improve manufacturability while maintaining design intent.
