Accordion Pivot Doors for Tribeca Kitchen
Developed in collaboration with Studio Athena Calderone for Athena’s Tribeca Apartment Kitchen and Breakfast Nook, these folding accordion doors at the range, and coordinating pivot pantry doors are fabricated from stainless steel and bronze and feature leaded glass panels for warmth and a sense of timelessness.
Each door is fabricated from stainless steel and bronze frames slender, architectural profiles. The panels of hand-blown sheet glass from Bendheim Glass were cut into narrow rectangles and carefully composed to highlight their natural variation in tone and translucency.
While highly engineered, these doors were always envisioned to feel timeless—architecturally grand, yet imbued with a sense of age, craft, and humanity.
Frankford Series doors are made to order in Amuneal’s Philadelphia-based furniture studio and can be customized by size, finish and configuration.
