Monumental Pivot Doors
Developed in collaboration with Studio Athena Calderone for Athena’s Tribeca Apartment primary bathroom, and featured on the cover of Architectural Digest, these pivot doors, fabricated from stainless steel and bronze, feature leaded glass panels for warmth and a sense of timelessness.
Each 9’-6” tall door is fabricated from stainless steel and bronze frames slender, architectural profiles. The panels of hand-blown sheet glass from Bendheim Glass were cut into narrow rectangles and carefully composed to highlight their natural variation in tone and translucency.
While highly engineered, these doors were always envisioned to feel timeless—architecturally grand, yet imbued with a sense of age, craft, and humanity.
Frankford Series doors are made to order in Amuneal’s Philadelphia-based furniture studio and can be customized by size, finish and configuration.
