Case Study #57101: Beauty in Plain Sight Client: SEPTA and Parsons Transportation Group, INC. Design: Amuneal Location: Arrott Transportation Center, Philadelphia, PA
It’s not often we get to make artwork that lives and grows right in our neighborhood! This sculptural polka-dot bouquet mounts to the architecture of our local Arrott Transportation Center as part of SEPTA Philly’s Art in Transit Program. We initially developed the laser cut and hand formed flower design and fabrication technique for a custom booth at ICFF and perfected the art for this nearby installation. The metallic powder-coated aluminum flowers bloom out of the station’s architecture just a few blocks away from Amuneal’s headquarters in the Frankford Neighborhood of Philadelphia. Many Amuneal employees ride the train into this station everyday — it feels good to grow where we’re planted!
