Case Study #57595: CUNY Lobby Sculptural Features
Client: The City University of New York
Design: Design Republic
Location: 230 W 41st Street, New York, NY

In collaboration with Design Republic, Amuneal made multiple custom items featured throughout the lobby of CUNY’s Research Foundation.

Amuneal laser cut and formed seven panels finished in a faux dark bronze for the Greeting + Farewell text sculpture; each of the panels assemble together to form the 8′ tall x 6′ wide pillar of hellos and goodbyes. Illuminating the sculpture and adding depth to the space is an aluminum ceiling light feature with a striped pattern. We also built the entryway scanners, lobby base, floor inlays, and elevator trim, which maintains a cohesive finish that matches throughout the lobby. The wood bench is an Amuneal creation as well!
